Coffee Mornings: Our coffee mornings are still held on the first Friday of every month from 10:30am until 12 noon. Crafts are on sale. Please call in for coffee and a chat with friends.

The Visually Impaired Bowling Group Meets every Wednesday afternoon the Alexander Bowl Centre to play indoor bowls. Why not call in and see them, everyone is welcome. They meet from 2pm to 4pm.

Actionnaires Sports Club The children’s sports club meets at Yorkshire Coast College Sports Hall on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 1pm. Contact the Centre for more details if you know anyone who would like to join them.

Scarborough Macular Support Group the group meets every two months at Scarborough Library every two months, the next meeting will be held in April 2008, a reading group meets at the Library on the alternate months. For more information please contact the Centre.

Scarborough’s Goalball Club The club has recently started to give sight impaired children and others the chance to play this fun, energetic team game which is very popular throughout the country. It is open to everyone aged 11–16 years. It is held on every Friday from 6.15 – 7.15pm at the Falsgrave Community Resource Centre, which is opposite B&Q on Seamer Road. Admission is free and the event is led by staff from North Yorkshire County Council 4Youth Service and the Scarborough Borough Council. Friday 30th May Resource Day at Church House, Whitby from 11am to 3pm sight impaired people and their relatives and carers are welcome call in and see Viv for information, help or just to look at the wide range of equipment on display.

Friday 6th June Coffee Morning at the Resource Centre from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Friday 20th June Fundraising Day outside Woolworth’s in Scarborough with our crafts and tombola stall. If you have any unwanted gifts which we can use for our tombola, or if you or anyone you know can help us for an hour or two please contact Yvonne at the Centre.
